CSE 262

CSE 262 (Programming Languages) is a computer science course that covers several different computing languages. Some of these languages include Java, Python, Scheme, and C. The aim for this is not really to make you an expert at each of these languages, but instead, it aims to improve your ability to understand and learn a variety of languages. There are about four programming assignments throughout the semester, so it is not a programming intensive course. The course is not required for computer engineering majors, just computer science majors.

As a computer engineering major, I decided to take the course because I heard it is a very helpful course in understanding the similarities and differences between many computer languages. This makes it very easy for you to learn any language on your own. This course also helps you choose between a variety of computer languages depending on what you want your program to do. It discusses the different types of programing languages and there uses such as object-oriented, functional, and imperative programming.
