Yesterday was the kickoff meeting for this year’s mobiLEHIGH competition. It is a game development competition. Students of all backgrounds can participate and team up to create a mobile game. The Programming Club hosts quite a few workshops that help students with little to no game dev experience get started and introduce tools to help them create their game. Some game dev platforms require no programming, but instead simply use drag-and-drop features to place objects and create animations. I’m really excited about this year’s contest since last year, I found it difficult to carve out time for it and ended up not participating.

I’m looking forward to getting started as I already have a few ideas for games. I’ll be sure to post updates on my game and the contest in general.
